Funding Needs: Help Us Help Others

Armed Services Outreach

“Even in the midst of combat…the ministry carried out by Guideposts…gives our soldiers hope.”

Helping Our Service Men and Women

A wounded soldier recovers in a field hospital.

A new recruit faces a mission, on foreign soil, for the first time.

The young family is left behind on a base far from home.

As thousands more young Americans are called to defend our country, the need for messages of inspiration and hope has grown dramatically. US military chaplains are urgently asking for our booklets and materials. They see how it helps service members, and their families, cope with situations and anxieties that most of us can only imagine.

Through Guideposts Outreach Ministries, the following are provided, free of charge, to military personnel or their loved ones.

  • Magazines, faith-building books, and booklets are sent to chaplains for distribution on the front lines, on bases, in military hospitals and installations, among others.

  • An expanding range of programs are currently in development, in partnership with those who best know the needs of today’s service men and women and their families.

One chaplain tells about a soldier who pulled Dr. Norman Vincent Peale’s booklet, “Hope,” from under his hospital pillow and said: “I had hope and peace out there. That’s what it is all about.”

You Can Make a Difference
There is a special urgency today. A growing circle of supporters is helping us increase our Outreach Ministries to the Armed Services. You can help too. Gifts of all sizes help us bring the hope and inspiration of Guideposts to our troops, perhaps right when they need it most.

and Make a Difference in Someone's Life.
